The Bangladesh women’s cricket team lost their second straight Twenty20 International against India in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday, going down by eight wickets in 12.3 overs after posting just 65 runs in the first innings. Bangladesh managed to score just 65-9 after electing to bat first, contributing to their own woes with four run outs. Fargana Hoque scored 18 to lead four Bangladeshis in double-figures, with three batters failing to get off the mark at all.
India reached 66-2 with 45 balls to spare, led by opener Madhuri Mehta’s 23. Player-of-the-match Jhulan Goswami added 18 not out after taking two wickets earlier.
India won the first T20I at Cox’s Bazar on Sunday by 16 runs. The teams will play again on Thursday before Bangladesh take on Pakistan, who beat them by 13 runs on March 8, in their second T20 on Saturday.
