The final concert of Banglalink Music Festival concluded at Bangladesh Army Stadium in Dhaka on 25 December.
Banglalink held a series of nationwide concerts for the youths recently.
The concerts were held in Khulna, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Rangpur.
The final event featured live performances by Hyder Husyn, Aurthohin, Warfaze, Miles and LRB.
Banglalink organised this nationwide concert series featuring performances to strengthen its association with the music platform and to promote musical entertainment for the youths of the country.
The most popular and well-loved Bangladeshi bands, including Habib, Warfaze, Aurthohin, LRB and Miles, performed at the concerts.
Music has become the best medium in our culture to communicate with the youths. Band music is well loved by the youths in our country and it has truly made a difference to the lives of the Bangladeshi youths over the years.
Speaking about the concerts, Shihab Ahmad, senior director (marketing) of Banglalink, said, “Banglalink, through its actions, has selflessly tied itself to Bangladesh’s diverse musical background. And this is one of our initiatives to provide quality musical entertainment to the youths. In the coming years, we have plans to organise such activities and campaigns in collaboration with our popular musicians.”
At Sunday’s concert, Hyder Husyn performed some of his popular numbers, including Phaishya gechhi, Swadhinota and Baaro haat sari. Warfaze rendered Boshey achhi, Tomaakey and Hey shomaaj. Aurtohin performed Chaitey paro, Miles sang Jaala jaala and LRB presented Shei tumi.
