Bangladesh Bank on Thursday asked scheduled bank to keep sufficient money in their automated teller machines during the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation. The BB issued a circular to managing directors and chief executive officers of all banks asking them to keep sufficient money in their ATM booths so that their clients can withdraw money from the booths between July 28 and July 30.
The scheduled banks along with the government offices will remain closed from July 28 to July 30 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, a religious festival for Muslims.
The BB also asked the banks to take adequate security measures at their ATM booths during the vacation.
