The Bangladesh Cricket Board will not give all-rounder Sakib al Hasan any letter explaining his six-month ban, acting chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury said on Saturday. Sakib was waiting for the BCB letter before deciding whether he will appeal against the ban, but according to the official ‘it is unnecessary’ and that the all-rounder can appeal any time.‘A media release of the Bangladesh Cricket Board can be considered as a universal document in this regard,’ Nizamuddin told reporters.
The BCB last week banned Sakib from all kinds of competitive cricket for six months and decided that the player would not be provided with any no-objection certificate to play in overseas leagues until December 2015.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan announced the punishment through a press conference and later issued a formal statement, saying that the player was punished for multiple disciplinary breaches and a severe attitude problem
