The last 50-over game between Bangladesh A and the West Indies High Performance Team will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium today. The visiting West Indian side have already taken an unassailable two to nothing lead in the three-match series and will be looking for a whitewash. The hosts, on the other hand, will aim to salvage some pride by winning the last game and end the series on a high.
While there were a few impressive individual performances in the Bangladeshi squad, they are still yet to gel as a team. The match today might be the players’ last chance to stake their claim for a berth in the national team for the series against the West Indies in November. Following the one-day series, the teams will play two Twenty20 matches on Thursday and Friday.
