Bangladesh will open their campaign of the inaugural SAFF Under-19 Championship against Bhutan at the All Nepal Football Association Complex ground today.
The match will kick-off at 3:45pm Bangladesh standard time.
Bangladesh will confirm their semi-final berth today if they can beat Bhutan after the Dragon Boys suffered a 3-1 defeat to hosts Nepal in the
Group-A opener on Thursday.
Bangladesh Under1-9 coach Saiful Bari Titu is confident that his side will make the last four by defeating Bhutan.
‘It’s a great chance for us to make the semi-final tomorrow [Saturday],’ said Titu.
‘But Bhutan is an improved side and they will try their best to keep their hopes alive.
‘They [Bhutan] use to play pressing football so that we will try to initiate attacks from the wings.
‘We must score first if we are to beat Bhutan, who gave Nepal a good run for their money.’
Afghanistan managed 3-1 win over Maldives in their opening Group-B match on Friday.
