The Bangladesh Football Federation on Tuesday decided a 20-member squad for the Asian Games with Aminul, Enamul and Waly Faisal as senior players on Tuesday.
The team was put into the final form after the national team management committee chairman, Badal Roy, had discussed the options with Robert Rubcic, the new Serbian national coach.
The experienced defender Md Shujon, the other over-aged player of the preliminary camp, was kept on the standby list. The 30-member preliminary camp that began practice at the
Bangladesh Krira Siksha Pratishthan on August 20 and closed on September 25 included two newcomers in Shafiqul Islam Bipul and Anisur Alam Sweet. Sweet got a place in the standby list but Bipul was left out.
The players, however, will engage themselves in their club commitment for the Federation Cup and after the conclusion of the curtain-raiser tournament of the season at the end of October, Rubcic will resume the camp for the Asian Games.
