Model turned actor Bindu is now busy in acting in more than 30 single episodes TV plays to be aired on different TV channels on occasion of Eid.
The TV plays she has already acted in includes Gazi Rakayet’s ‘Bibahauttor Sambardhona’, Chayanika Chowdhury’s ‘Dekha Habe’ and ‘Parash Pathor’, Iftakher Ahmed Fahmi’s ‘Breaking News’ and ‘Ekti Kalo Jochhona’ Mostofa Manan’s ‘Ekhane Manusher Atit Kena Hai’, Mousumi’s ‘Chhotabela’, Mohon Khan’s ‘Paatro Chai’ and Sakal Ahmed’s ‘The Shoes Diary’.
‘I had to reduce working for drama serials since July; all the plays I have acted in during the past 3 months are single-episode plays for the approaching Eid,’ Bindu told New Age.
In the drama ‘Breaking News’, she has played the role of an anchor for a TV talk-show who invites a political leader as a guest and unveils his real character. ‘I have never been an anchor, not even in my real life and most importantly, I had to act for three hours at a stretch,’ said Bindu. She hoped the play will also have technical perfection, given that a total of five
cameras have been used to film it.
In ‘Ekti Kalo Jochona’, Bindu played the character of a blind woman. ‘To prepare for this role, I have watched movies with similar themes and minutely observed how the actors behave and communicate with people as a blind person’ said the sincere actor.
‘The play ‘Prothom Dekha’ has an interesting story, Bindu said. ‘The girl falls in love with a boy only after talking to him over phone. The two decide to meet at a particular place where the boy is deceived by another girl who convinces him she is the girl he has come to meet,’ she added.
She is yet to work for five more dramas before Eid, directed by SA Haque Alik, Himel Akbar, Afzal Hossain, Kayes Chowdhury and Anjan Aich’.
Bindu, who have already stepped into silver screen, will likely to have her next film released on the Valentine’s Day in 2011. Directed by Sohel Arman, the film ‘Eito Prem’ is a love-story set in the backdrop of the country’s War of Independence. ‘The story actually deals with the love of a boy and girl coming from different religious background; more than 60 percent works of the film has been done.’ Bindu informed.
