Popular singer Kumar Biswajit is busy recording songs
for his upcoming 27th solo album.
The album, containing tracks for the audience of all age groups, will feature different genres of songs including romantic, sentimental, traditional and others, shared the singer in an interview with New Age.
‘More importantly, the audience will get different vibe because of the quality of recording. We are using the acoustics of different instruments like tabla, guitar, flute and other instruments as it was done till the 1080s. But the compositions and lyrics of the songs are contemporary,’ Biswajit told New Age.
‘I have already finalised the songs though I cannot disclose them now; but I can say that the album will include an old song titled A tribute to Chittagong, which I sang many years ago. Besides, I have included a new comic song titled A tribute to Sylhet,’ he added.
Biswajit further said that noted lyricists and composers including Gazi Mazharul Anwar, Dr Golam Mostafa, Liton Adhikari Rintu, Kabir Bakul, Zulfiqar Russell and Shafiq Tuhin have worked on the lyrics and the compositions of the songs in the album.
‘And the renowned music director SI Tutul has directed music for the album. Besides, young and talented artistes like Kishore, Mithun, Sumon Kalyan and Ibrar Tipu has helped me a lot in tuning the songs and in different recording stages of the album,’ Biswajit said.
Biswajit is presently fully concentrating on the album which he plans to release on February 14, Valentines Day next year.
‘Releasing a solo is a great deal of work; I never release albums in a hurry as it will degrade the quality of the songs; therefore, I take a lot of time before releasing a solo. And that is why the upcoming album will be my solo album after three years since the release of Drishti Bhora Brishti in 2009,’ explained Kumar Biswajit.
