If Awami League is voted to power again in the next general election, Bangladesh will be freed from poverty totally, said Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Mymensingh on Sunday. AL had pledged to bring about developments in all sectors and we have succeeded in doing so in the last four and a half-year rule, said Joy while he was addressing a rally of AL workers’ at local gymnasium.
AL is working relentlessly for the country and its people and during its present tenure, many educational institutions and health centres have been established to support the people, said Joy. Criticizing BNP’s rule, Joy said, the BNP-led four party alliance could not even produce single megawatt electricity during their tenure while the AL raised electricity production from 3,500 megawatts to 9,000 megawatts during its tenure.
We have made Bangladesh a digital one and set up digital information centres so that people can get their necessary information easily, said Joy.
