A 12-year-old boy was crushed under the wheels of a train at Sitakundu upazila in Chittagong Weednesday morning. The victim was identified as Robin, 12, son of Mohammad Robiul Alam, from Sheikhpara of Sitakundu upazila, and a student of Class VI at the local high school.
Robin received serious injury when he went under the train wheels on Dhaka-Chittagong railway track at Bhatiary area of Kumira under Sitakundhu upazila around 10:00am on Wednesday, Government Railway Police said. Local people brought the victim at Chittagong Medical College Hospital at 12:00 noon but the attending doctors declared him dead.
GRP recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
An UD case was lodged.
