A Bangladeshi national was beaten to death by the members of Indian Border Security (BSF) along Dabalguri border in Patgram upazila early Friday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Abdul Hoque, son of late Kasar Uddin of Dabalguri village. Witnesses said the BSF members and some Indian nationals caught cattle trader Abdul near the main pillar of the border before dawn and beat him up mercilessly when he went there to fetch his cows, leaving him dead on the spot. Later, the BSF troops and the Indian nationals took Abdul’s body to the country. Confirming the incident, Rangpur Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) battalion commander Lt Col Rokanuzzaman said a letter would be sent to the BSF protesting the incident.
