Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up 12 Bangladeshi cattle traders from Hapania border point in Sapahar upazila on Sunday.
Nine of the Bangladeshis were identified as Zahur Ali, 35, son of Faizul Islam, Abdur Rahman, 32, son of Kadir Ali, Ariful Islam, 25, son of Dilu Islam, Ibrahim Ali, 20, son of Ashraful Islam, Mukhtar Hossain, 22, son of Ayen Uddin, Subhash Chandra, 25, son of Tabani Pal, Ranjit Chandra, 22, Sanaullah, 26, son of Soleman Ali of the upazila. Commanding officer of BGB-46, Lt Lt Col Anwar Hossain said the BSF troops from Pannapur camp held the 12 Bangladeshis along with 51 cattle while they were returning home through the Pannapur border point around 4 am.
Later, they were handed over to Bhagbangola Police Station.
