Members of Indian Border Security Force picked up a Bangladeshi labourer from Lauergarh border in Tahirpur upazila on Monday evening.
The victim was identified as Ichha Mia, 28, of Manigaon village in the upazila.
Local people said BSF troops chased Ichha and caught him as a group of people including Ichha allegedly entered Indian Territory illegally for lifting stones from the River Jadukata at about 5:30pm.
