Brothers Union finished the second phase in the Bangladesh Premier League with a comfortable 2-1 win over Team BJMC at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
The sixth win in nine matches of the second phase took Brothers to fourth place in league table with 29 points from 18 matches. Team BJMC, on the other hand, finished the second phase in sixth place with 19 points.
Nigerian forward Simon Ezeodika put Brothers ahead in the 17th minute with powerful volley from 25 yards that went over BJMC keeper Arifuzzaman Himel to enter the post.
BJMC were reduced to 10 men in the 50th minute when goalkeeper Himel cleared the ball outside the box with his hands to receive a red card.
Rubel Miah netted the second goal for Brothers with a solo effort five minutes from the final whistle before Nigerian midfielder Samosn Iliasu scored the consolation goal in the injury time for BJMC.
