The 14th founding anniversary of Bangladesh University of Professionals was celebrated on Sunday with the buildings illuminated and the corridors decorated colorfully.
The celebration programmes were arranged in two phases. The first phase included flag hoisting, inauguration of tree planting and release of fish fry at BUP Lake by vice- chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam.
The vice-chancellor visited the 21 stalls set up at BUP Concourse under the supervision of 21 clubs run by different departments. The presidents of the clubs briefed the VC and senior officials of BUP about the current activities of the clubs, their success, and future.
In the second part of the day, a discussion was organised at Bijoy Auditorium on the occasion of BUP Day. The BUP VC graced the occasion as chief guest.
He thanked all the former BUP members for their tireless work for the present state of BUP. He advised all the faculty members, students, officials and employees to work relentlessly to take BUP to the zenith of prosperity.
Among others, BUP senior officials, faculty members and students were also present in the programme physically and virtually, said a press release.
