Bangladesh Single Country Trade Fair in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has opened ample of business opportunities for Bangladeshi products and services, says a press release.
The 3-day fair was held on 8-10 January at Rolla, Sharjah of the Emirates, which was sponsored by Pubali Bank Limited.
The exhibition was attended a total of 20 service and manufacturing companies including four commercial banks, one life insurance company, two ready made garments, three handicrafts, four real estate companies and one women entrepreneur.
Audit Committee Chairman of Pubali Bank Monir Uddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the fair, while Global Economist Forum President and Dhaka International Exhibition Company Limited (DIEC) Managing Director Enayet Karim, Pubali Bank Managing Director Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, National Bank Deputy Managing Director Azizur Rahman and SEVP Shamsul Huda Khan, Jamuna Bank Deputy Managing Director Abdus Salam, Janata Bank Sharjah Branch Manager Mizanur Rahman and a good number of expatriate Bangladeshi in UAE were present in the inaugural ceremony of the fair.
The participating banks: Janata, Jamuna, Pubali and National have signed remittance agreement with 26 reputed exchange companies in UAE to remit the wage earning foreign currency through banking channel.
The housing companies have sold countable number of plot and flat, while Amas Expo, the ready made garment company has fetched two buyers, who will import knit garments round the year.
