Shipping minister Shajahan Khan on Tuesday said the city’s canals would be freed from illegal occupants to address water stagnation in the city.
‘We are working hard for solving city’s water stagnation through draining out rain water by removing illegal installations on canals in different places in the metropolis,’ he said at a workshop on Draft Master Plan formulated by Dhaka WASA for providing improved drainage services to the city dwellers.
