Busy small screen actor Chanchal Chowdhury claims that he has already started shooting for the teleplays to be aired in the upcoming Eid-Ul-Azha.
Shooting of the Eid teleplays has started nearly two months before the Eid celebrations as Chanchal is to complete a number of teleplays along with his routine works, Chanchal told New Age from a shooting location shooting for a seven episode drama Ar Matro Koyek Din directed by Brindaban Das which will be aired on RTV during the Eid.
‘Currently a number of my teleplays are being aired on different channels. It, therefore, becomes difficult to manage time out of the regular works’, said Chanchal.
Presently, the private television channels ATN Bangla and Channel i are airing the actor’s Songsar Sukher Hoy Bedonar Gune and Monchora Guli respectively.
Another new drama serial titled Game is being aired every Sunday and Monday at 10.20pm on Channel 9. Written and directed by Mostafa Kamal Raj, the teleplay shows the conflicts in a love triangle. ‘The drama serial has an interesting story where two young unmarried men fall in love with the same woman in their colony who flirts with both of them and, finally, leaves both for another person’, said Chanchal. ‘The story gets funnier when the two will fall for another girl for the second time. Hasan Masud and Purnima have acted with me among others in the play’, Chanchal informed.
Chanchal is also scheduled to act in a film Kanamachhi, directed by Mostafa Kamal Raj. Shooting for the film will start after the Eid.
Chanchal started his career in 1996 in the theatres of Bangladesh. He joined the famous theatre Aranyak Natyadal and performed in stage plays like Prakritojoner Kotha, Joyjoyonti, Ora Kodom Ali, Mayur Singhason, Songkranti, Rarang and Che-er Cycle.
