Chinese premier Li KeQiang have congratulated Sheikh Hasina for being the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the third time. The Chinese premier, in his message on behalf of the Chinese government and people, extended warm congratulations and best wishes to Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of assuming the office of the prime minister of Bangladesh. Li KeQiang said, “China and Bangladesh are close and friendly neighbours. In recent years, sound progress has been made in all-areas of cooperation between China and Bangladesh through joint efforts of both the sides.”
Meanwhile, Indian President Pranab Mukherjee telephoned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday and congratulated her.
Talking to UNB, PM’s Special Assistant (Media) Mahbubul Hoque Shakil said the Indian President made a call to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the evening and greeted her. Pranab hoped that the two countries’ identical fight against poverty and illiteracy would be expedited under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, said Shakil.

Meanwhile, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani congratulated Sheikh Hasina over telephone for being the prime minister of Bangladesh for the third time.
“LK Advani phoned Hasina around 1pm and congratulated her,” Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, information adviser to prime minister told the media.
Earlier on Sunday, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh congratulated Sheikh Hasina for becoming the Bangladesh prime minister.
