Zhang Caihong of Jiangsu province has recently found out that her son was stolen from her 17 years ago in 2005 by her cousin’s sister-in-law, as reported by the China Morning Post.

The woman convinced Zhang to leave the boy in her care after she revealed the boy had been paralyzed in both legs. Later, however, she broke the news to Zhang that the infant had sadly passed away.
Zhang just recently learned that his son is still alive and thriving in middle school. Zhang located her son and noticed that he looked a lot like her ex-husband.
The child was later proven to be her biological offspring via DNA tests. She also found out that the “adoptive” mother of the boy was the younger sister of his cousin’s wife.
Zhang is trying to convince her son’s adoptive parents to let him move in with her, but they are resistant. They have come to expect compensation for the money they spent on the boy’s upbringing.
Zhang is trying to convince her son’s adoptive parents to let him move in with her, but they are resisting. They are asking to be compensated for their time and money invested in raising the boy.
Zhang, however, maintains that her son was adopted illegally and was taken from her as part of a plot, so she is not willing to pay compensation.
