Renowned Tagore artiste Choyon Mollick’s solo Tagore song based album titled ‘Hridoy Binai Gahi’ was launched at a function at the Bengal Shilpalaya in the city’s Dhanmondi area on Thursday evening. Professor of the Department of English of Dhaka University Dr Fakrul Alam unveiled cover of the album, while singer Choyon Mollick, Director General of Bengal Foundation Luva Nahid Chowdhury, among others, were also present at the album launching ceremony. After launching ceremony Choyon rendered some songs from her newly released album. Music of the tracks of the album was directed by Durbadal Chatterjee. Title tracks are: “Aji bijon ghore,” “Noyon bhashilo jole,” “Chokher alloy dekhechhilem,” “Ore aamar hridoy,” “Barota peyechhi mone mone,” “Badol-diner prothom kodom phul,” “Aji tomai abar,” “Chitto aamar haralo,” “Hridoye chhile jegey,” “Aji komolmukuldol khulil,” “Ami keboli swapan” and “Na go ei-je dhula aamar na.” Choyon Mollick was brought in a cultural family. She got training on Tagore song from Chhayanaut. Therefore, she also received training from noted Tagore artiste Mita Haque. She is now residing in Canada.
