The finance minister, AMA Muhith, on Saturday inaugurated the new campus of Civil Service College at Agargaon in Dhaka. Prime minister’s adviser HT Imam and college principal Mohammad Haroonur Rashid also spoke on the occasion with college’s trustee board member former secretary Abdur Rashid in the chair. In his speech, the finance minister said the governing body and the curricula of this postgraduate college need to be changed to turn it into a centre of excellence for education on public policy and management.
More academics and private sector people need to be included in the governing body which is now burdened with people from civil services, he added.
The Civil Service College, Dhaka, offers special courses on three areas – governance and public policies, international economic relations, and human resource management.
