A two-day internet trade fair of the Chittagong Stock Exchange begins in Dhaka today in a bid to make internet-based stocks trading familiar with the capital market investors.
The investors will get detail information and demonstration on how they can be able to trade by using devices like mobile phone, smartphone, tab, laptop and desktop computers, said CSE managing director Syed Sajid Husain at a news briefing at its Dhaka office on Tuesday.
Mobile phone operators, IT companies, brokerage houses and mobile handset companies will take part at the fair and demonstrate their IT-related products that will be helpful for the internet trading, Sajid said.
Internet devices and internet packages will be offered at discount prices at the fair venue, he said.
Investors will also get benefit of opening beneficiary owners’ account with brokerage houses at the fair venue, the CSE MD said.
Everyday five visitors will be selected through lottery for awarding with internet devices like smartphone, modem and internet packages, he said.
State minister for finance MA Mannan will inaugurate the fair at the Institute of the Diploma Engineers auditorium while BSEC chairman M Khairul Hossain will attend as special guest.
The fair will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm for visitors.
CSE chairman Muhammad Abdul Mazid was, among others, present at the briefing.
