DB DC transferred over bribery charge

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Detective Branch Police (DB) Mollah  Nazrul Islam was transferred on Saturday on charge of taking bribe of Tk.1.5 crore from a businessman after confining him. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Assistant Commissio­ner Abu Yousuf said, directed by acting Police Commissioner Abdul Jalil, he (Nazrul) was transferred to Rajarbagh police as Deputy Commissioner of Protection on Saturday.
Besides, one inspector and one sub-inspector were closed and attached at police headquarters on Friday.
