Dhaka Division celebrated their title with a five-wicket win over Khulna while Rajshahi bagged a dramatic four-wicket win over Dhaka Metro as the country’s premium first-class cricket tournament, National Cricket League ended on Tuesday. Rangpur and Chittagong also posted wins in

Dhaka, who were already assured of title, began the fourth day’s play at 96-1, needing a further 126 runs and they achieved it without any serious hiccup.
Overnight batsman, Rony Talukdar missed out on century falling to 90 as Dhaka reached 224-5 shortly after the lunch break on the fourth and final day at the newly-built Cox’s Bazar stadium.
Abdul Majid, the highest scorer in the league with 690 runs, fittingly ended the contest with 34 not out.
Dhaka wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant 101 in the first innings.
Rajshahi v Dhaka Metro
Set a target of 275 runs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, Rajshahi were facing a defeat when they lost six wickets for 120 runs at close on the third day.
However, the former champions came back strongly on the fourth day to reach 275-6, without losing any further wicket.
Sabbir Rahman and Farhad Reza did the turnaround adding 155 runs for their unbroken sixth wicket stand as Rajshahi finished the tournament as runners-up with 111 points.
Sabbir was unbeaten on 85 facing 216 balls while Farhad followed up his double century in the previous match with 80 not out.
Sabbir, who also scored 64 runs in the first innings, was named man of the match.
Rangpur v Barisal
Rangpur posted the biggest victory in the final round when they thumped Barisal by an innings and 25 runs at the outer stadium in Fatullah.
Barisal required 254 runs to make Rangpur bat again but they could only manage just 229 runs. Sohag Gazi scored 61 runs adding to his 87 in the first innings which only reduced the margin.
Wicketkeeper batsman Dhiman Ghosh was adjudged man of the match for scoring 149 runs which helped Rangpur declare their first innings at 543-9. Rangpur finished third thanks to the resounding win while defeat condemned Barisal to last position.
Chittagong v Sylhet
Spinner Mohammad Younus grabbed 5-47 as Chittagong dismissed Sylhet for 180 runs to record a 248-run win at the BKSP.
Nightwatchman Enamul Haque Jr made highest 40 runs as Sylhet lost their last five wickets for just four runs. Chittagong batsman Mominul Haque won the man of the match award for making 168 runs in their only innings.
