Both the Bangladesh League matches on Sunday ended in stalemate. Chittagong Abahani shared points with their crosstown rivals Chittagong Mohammedan SC in a 1-1 draw at the Cox’s Bazar stadium. Chittagong Abahani’s Nigerian recruit Akinyele Peter Akinkunmi put his side ahead in the second minute only for Liberian hitman of the port city’s black and white outfit Jerry Odesco to cancel out the lead seven minutes later.
After this draw in the fifth round Chittagong Abahani now have two points in their tally while Mohammedan have earned four.
Away at the Feni stadium, hosts Feni Soccer Club played out a goalless draw with Arambagh Krira Sangha. Arambagh, who defeated powerhouse Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in their previous outing, are now in the ninth position with five points from as many matches. Feni Soccer Club are struggling at the 11th place with two points.
