A driver was drugged to death at the capital’s Jatrabari on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Islam, around 35, driver of Sylhet Divisional Commissioner.
The victim’s colleague, Sahidul Islam, said Islam was coming to Dhaka on Sunday night.
At Jatrabari bus stand, some miscreants drugged him and left him at Postagola in an unconscious condition.
Later on, Jatrabari police subinspector Imran Islam took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died in the Monday morning.
DMCH doctors said he was drugged with sedatives and the dose was excessive.
Islam was from Bikrampur and is survived by his widow and a daughter.
