A two-day international film festival organised by Dhaka University Film Society ended on Wednesday at the TSC Auditorium of Dhaka University through screening of three foreign films.
The programme titled World Film Manifestation Programme
had its 100th edition this month.
The film society organises the festival to introduce audience with world films.
Vice chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique, who is also the moderator of the film society chaired the inauguration ceremony held on Tuesday. The chairman of Television and Film Studies Department AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan was present as the special guest.
Three films were screened on the opening day including Now You See Me by the American director Louis Leterrier.
The other films screened on the first day included a drama thriller M by the German director Fritz Lang and a Russian drama film The Thief by Pavel Chukhray.
The second day began with the screening of South Korean drama film Bad Guy by Ki-duk Kim; and carried on with the screening of an Indian war romance Earth by Deepa Mehta.
The programme concluded with an Afgan war biography Safar e Ghandehar directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf.
