England Cricket Board’s security adviser Reg Dickason will leave for India and Bangladesh today to assess security situation ahead of their tour in these countries.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board official said they are ready to fulfill the requirement of England team’s security adviser when he arrives next week.England is scheduled to play two Tests and three one-day internationals in October.
The England tour is hanging in balance and its fate will be decided on the inspection report Dickason. The tour is under doubt after the recent terrorist attack at a Gulshan Café on July 1 that left 22 people killed mostly foreigners.
‘We have already sent them a draft of our security arrangements and will try to fill their other requirements provided it is within our means,’ he said.
BCB officials sat with government high-ups regarding the development of the series during their inter-ministerial meeting.
Dickason will be heading first for India and then Bangladesh on a two-week trip checking on security arrangements in place for the team.
