All the TV channels have chalked up Eid special programmes with different types of shows. Most of these channels will air Bangla films,
TV plays, musical shows, magazine programmes and talk shows for five days. Like the previous years’ programmes TV plays dominate Eid fanfare. Selected programmes of the first three days scheduled to be on air on different channels have been given below:
ATN Bangla
Asol Nakol
Single-episode play Asol Nakol, written by Syed Manzurool Islam and directed by Sazzad Suman, will be aired on the Eid day at 11:50pm. Mir Sabbir, Nadia and Jayanta Chattopadhyay play lead roles in the play, which features a dark side of the materialistic society.
Eid-er Bajna Baje re
Magazine programme Eid-er Bajna Baje Re, anchored by Khandaker Ismail, will be aired on the 2nd day of Eid at 10:45pm. Stars from the music industry and small screen will participate in the show.
Alal O Dulal
TV play Alal O Dulal, written and directed by Mir Sabbir, will be aired on the third day at 8:50pm. The comedy revolves many funny incidents after meeting of two vagabonds. Zahid Hasan, Mir Sabbir and Bindu perform in the play.
Channel-i
Jodi Bhalo Na Laage To Diyo Na Mon
Tele-film Jodi Bhalo Na Laage To Diyo Na Mon, based on Humayan Ahmed’s story and screenplay, will be aired at 12:05am on the Eid day. The tele-film portrays a model named Lina (Purnima) and her husband Naim (Nobel). In spite of Naim’s genuine love, Lina leaves Naim when she knows about Naim’s affair with a Swiss girl named Irena (Jeannine) while studying in Switzerland.
Hothat Sedin
Basu Chatterjee’s film Hothat Sedin will be premiered on Eid Day at 2:30pm. The romantic film features Ferdous and Ridima Ghosh in lead roles.
Atmadan
The war of independence based film Atmadan will be premiered on the second day of Eid at 10:30am. Atmadan, directed by Shahjahan Chowdhury, features Alamgir, Champa, Nipun and Neerob.
Sabina Yasmin solo
Sabina Yasmin will present Tagore song in Amar Ei Poth Chaoatei Anondo. Anchored by Tagore music diva Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, the programme will be aired at 6:10pm on the third.
NTV
Sobuj Velvet
TV play Sabuj Velvet, adapted from Muhammad Jafar Iqbal’s story, will be aired at 11:30pm on Eid day. Adapted by Abul Kalam Azad and directed by Abu Raihan Jewel, the play features a Bangladeshi UN high official who becomes nostalgic while visiting a remote place. Azad Abul Kalam, Tarin star the play.
Samay Churi
TV play Samay Churi, written and directed respectively by Musfiqur Rahman Manzu and Amitabh Reza, will be aired on the second day of Eid programme at 8:15pm. The play depicts an executive who coincidentally meets a foreigner girl and passes some time to help her keeping his wife waiting at home. It results a misunderstanding in the family life. Tahsan and Mithila plays lead roles in the play.
Litmus
TV play Litmus, written and directed, by Shafayet Nansur Rana, will be aired on the third day of Eid at 11:30pm. Litmus focuses on a couple who elopes to marry. But, on the way to honeymoon spot, they face accident and the wife loses her memory. Iresh Zaker and Tisha play the lead roles in the play.
BanglaVision
Barabari
Six-episode drama serial Barabari will be aired daily at 11:10pm. Written and directed respectively by Mominul Islam and Salauddin Lavlu, focuses of a cheat, who deceives rural people. But, ultimately gets punishment. Mosharraf Karim, Rakhi, Anisur Rahman Milan act in the play.
Atopar
Telefilm Abong Atopar, written and directed by Sumon Anwar, will be aired on second day of Eid at 2:10pm. The film focuses on an orphan boy who looks for love from others. Joya Ahasan, Joyonto Chattopadhyay and others perform in the film.
Arman Bhai House Husband
TV play Arman Bhai House Husband will be aired on the third day at 7:55pm. The comedy, written and directed by Sagor Jahan, depicts a couple who always quarrels with each other. Zahid Hasan, Tisha and others perform in the play.

Sahajatri
TV play Sahajatri, written and directed by Manzurul Islam, will be aired on the Eid day at 7:30pm. The play depicts a middle aged married man who falls in love with a young girl. Arman parvez Murad, Rokeya Prachi, Sumona Parvin Shoma plays the roles in the play.
Comedy Show Bakyaler Adya
Comedy show Bakyaler Adda will be aired on second day of Eid at 9:30pm.
Desh TV
Chor Elo Mor Ghorey
TV play Chor Elo Mor Ghorey, written and directed respectively by Litu Sakhawat and Shahiduzzaman Selim, will be aired on Eid day at 10:25pm. The play features a man whose mobile phone gets stolen. In desperate search to catch the thief, the man applies different techniques and eventually becomes mentally unstable. Shahiduzzamn Selim, Ishita and others perform in the play.
Rupjan
Single episode play Rupjan, written and directed by Animesh Aich, will be aired at 9:20pm on second day. The play portrays a pretty dancer, who finds herself in a completely different world after drinking a strange drink. Shimla and Lutfur Zaman Goeoge perform in the play.
Polestara
TV play Polestara, written and directed by Murad Parvez, will be aired at 9:20pm on third day. The play depicts a girl who elopes from her wedding ceremony to flee with her fiancé. But, she does not find the person after eloping. Apurbo, Sohana Saba, Mita Chowdhury and others act in the play.
Boishakhi TV
Poran Pakhi Mobile Centre
TV play Poran Pakhi Mobile Centre, written by Md. Kuddusur Rahman and directed by Maruf Ahmed Khan Rizvi, will be aired at 8:10pm on the Eid day. In a rural setting, the play revolves around an owner of a mobile phone flexi-load centre who creates funny incidents. Chanchal Chowdhury, Mimo and Gulshan Ara Poppy play roles in the comedy.
Award 1419
Tele-film Award 1419, written and directed by Aranya Anwar, will be aired at 3:00pm on the third day. The film features the corruption behind an award giving ceremony. Arfan Ahmed, Saju Khadem, Shanu and others perform in Award 1419.
Nasihat
Tele-film Nasihat, written by Brindaban Das and directed by Sakal Ahmed, will be aired at 3:00pm on Eid day. The play features a preacher who always suggests villagers. Milan, Nadia and others perform in the tele-film.

Galpoti Cinemar Noy
Tele-film Galpoti Cinemar Noy, written and directed by Murad Parvez, will be aired at 11:05am on the Eid day. The film portrays recovery of an ailing woman, who develops an affair becoming normal. Sohana Sabah, Apurbo and others perform in the tele-film.
Manush Athoba Kiwi Pholer Nesha
Tele-film Manush Athoba Kiwi Pholer Nesha will be aired at 11:10am on second day. The film, written and directed respectively by Bipasha Hayat and Tauquir Ahmed, features an affair between cousins after a young man takes shelter at his aunt’s home. Subarna Mustafa, Tauquir Ahmed, Nadia and others perform in the film.
Channel 24
Lal Pipra Kalo Pipra
Tele-film Lal Pipra Kalo Pipra, written and directed respectively by Kazi Shahidul Islam and Salauddin Lavlu, will be aired on the Eid day at 9:30pm.
The film features a noble person, who however does not feel a girl’s true love for him. Masum Aziz, Chhonda and others perform in the play.
Arranged Marriage
Tele-film Arranged Marriage will be aired at 9:30pm on second day. The film, written and directed respectively by Mezbah Uddin and Shihab Sahin, depicts four young boys and girls who face problems in maintaining their love and professional life simultaneously. Monalisa, Jenny, Apurbo and Irish Zaker act in the tele-film.
Mudrar Apith Opith
Tele-film Mudrar Apith Opith, written and directed by Golam Rabbani and Noim Imtiaz, will be aired at 9:30pm on third. The play focuses on a freedom loving man, who however, is conservative when it comes to his wife’s life style. Milan and Momo act in the tele-film.

Banglar Eid Utsab
Five episode magazine programme Banglar Eid Utsab, anchored by singer Mamtaz, will be aired at 5:40pm everyday during the five-day Eid celebration of the channel.
Speed
Bangla feature film Speed, directed by Sohanur Rahman Sohan, will be aired on 10:30am on the second day. M A Jalil Ananata, Parvin, Alamgir and Dighi are the lead actors in the action film.
Chikitshak Rashid Karim O Tar Bibaho Bishayak Jatilata
Chikitshak Rashid Karim O Tar Bibaho Bishayak Jatilata’, written and directed by Badrul Anam Soud, will be aired at 7:00pm on second day. Afzal Hossain, Suborna Mustafa, Banya Mirza and perform in the play that features a mid-aged man living in a village and having three wives. He attempts for his fourth marriage.

Eureka
TV play Eureka, written and directed by Mamunur Rashid, will be aired on Eid day at 3:30pm. The story of the play revolves around a man who does not laugh for 30 years of his conjugal life, despite his wife’s continuous efforts. Mamunur Rashid, Mita Chowdhury and ATM Shamsuzzaman perform in the play.
Nolok
TV play Nolok, written and directed by Nurul Alam Atique, will be aired at 11:15pm on the third day. Tamalika Karmakar, Naila Azad Nupur, Mahmudul Islam Mithu are others perform in the play, which presents a tri-angular love.
