Sadia Afrin Pinky won the beauty contest ‘Style Icon 2008.’ Rezwana Chowdhury Jhinuk became the 1st runner-up, while Maliha Mostaq secured the 2nd runner-up position.
Kumkum Laila got ‘Miss Smile’ award, Tania Rauf got Best Intelligence’ award, Smarani Jannat Naynna received ‘Best Catwalk’ award and ‘Tamanna Chowdhury got ‘Best Look’ award.
This was announced with the participation of the thousand of viewers at the grand finale of the ‘Style Icon’ contest at the Fantasy Kingdom Park at Ashulia at Savar Friday night.
This As the winner she got Tk 3 lakh, contract with ATN Bangla to perform in film and mega serial and a laptop from daily Ittefaq. Jhinuk got Tk 2 lakh and Maliha got Tk 1 lakh according to their position. Therefore, all the top three winners will get opportunity to become brand ambassador of fashion house ‘Mantra’ and Concord. They also got lifetime membership of Fantasy Park.
Chairman of ATN Bangla Mahfuzur Rahman, Chairman of Concord Group SM Kamal Uddin, Managing Director of daily Ittefaq Arshad Hosein, former Justice Habibur Rahman, Chairman of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Shafiq Alam Mehedi, among others, spoke at the final round of the mega event.
At the beginning of the event, top 10 contestants came to the stage wearing saris of ‘Mantra’ with the theme song of the contest. Then video biographies of the contestants were presented. Model Nirob, news presenter Farhana Nisho and Ambrin presented the show. Popular singers Fahmida Nabi, SI Tutul, Kaniz Suborna, Hasan, Rajib, Sinthia, Milon Mahmud, Topu, Hridoy Khan and Dipto rendered songs.
ATN Bangla, Ittefaq Group and Concord Group jointly organised the mega event. The grand finale of the ‘Style Icon’ will be aired on ATN Bangla at 8:00pm on March 20.
Sadia Afrin Pinky hailed from Khulna. Now she is the student of second year of the Department of Drama and Music of Dhaka University. Her future plan is to become a teacher of the university.
