The leading singers presented evergreen Tagore songs at a programme organised Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangsad.
Promising singers also entertained a houseful audience rendering inspirational Tagore songs such as Aguner poroshmoni and
Akash bhora surja tara in chorus.
The noted recitation artistes like Bhaswar Bandopadhyay and Laila Afroz recited Tagore unique poems at the programme.
Truly it was a great show titled Ojanare Korechhi Sondhan held on Friday evening at the Central Library auditorium.
Noted singer Fahim Hossain Chowdhury’s presentation of the sentimental Tagore number Dakbona dakbona got huge response from the audience.
Mahiuzzaman Chowdhury Moyna’s soulful presentation of another sentimental number Jete jete ekla poth-e was also equally entertaining. The audience also enjoyed Bulbul Islam’s rendition of Ei Udasi hawar and Mohadev Ghosh’s presentation of Krishnakoli.
Farhat Hossain, Mezbaul Azam Manju, Mahbubur Rahman Munju respectively sang some unique Tagore songs such as Chorono dhorite, Keno chokher jol-e and Ei kothati mone rekho.
Earlier, a discussion session was held. Presided over by Sudhin Das, president of BRSSS, professor emeritus Dr Anisuzzaman and attorney general Mahabube Alam were present at the discussion as special guests.
