The Bangladesh Cricket Board ensured extra security measures for the Sri Lankan side as they arrived at Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong on Saturday for the second and final Test. The BCB appeared cautious due to the recent experience during the home series against West Indies Under-19 when the tourists scrapped the series at the halfway stage after a small bomb exploded in front of their hotel.
Public movement was restricted from the airport to Hotel Peninsula as the visiting side were escorted by Rapid Action Battalion and CMP members.
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will contest the second Test starting from February 4 which will be followed by two Twenty20 Internationals at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
The Sri Lankan players looked to be in a jovial mood after their dominating performance in the first Test in Dhaka as they defeated the Tigers by an innings and 248 runs.
