Popular singer Fakir Alamgir presented people’s songs on Friday at the India Gandhi Cultural Centre in Gulshan two after the May Day.
In his stentorian voice modulation, Alamgir presented about 20 songs including Daam diye kinechhi bangla and his signature song O sokhina
gechhos Kina bhuilla amare at the show.
But, the most interesting part of the show was the presentation of a newly composed song Shunechho ki savarer khobor by the famous people’s song singer Fakir Alamgir. He dedicated the song to the victims of the Savar tragedy.
The audience also enjoyed Alamgir’s presentation of some evergreen traditional songs such as Paro janome hoioo radha, Shadher lao banailo mor-e boiragi and Mon amar dehoghori sandhan kori.
Alamgir concluded the programme rendering the signature song of May Day titled Naam tar chhilo john henry.
