The International Cricket Council inspection team is set to start their last round of inspections today before submitting their final report regarding the venues for next year’s World Twenty20, Bangladesh Cricket Board officials said on Sunday. Sylhet Divisional Stadium, expected to host all the matches of the women’s tournament and six matches on the men’s side, has yet to gain ICC approval.‘They will begin with the Fatullah stadium before coming over to Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium [on Monday],’ BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury told reporters.
The team, headed by Chris Tetley, is expected to visit Chittagong on November 3 and Sylhet on November 4 before heading to Dhaka on November 5 to visit the BKSP.
‘They are expected to have a co-ordination meeting on November 6,’ said Nizamuddin.
‘Probably they will be a station of ICC here so that they can look after the matter,’ he added.
