A 13-member first batch of New Zealand Test Cricket Team arrived in the capital on Tuesday on a five-week tour to Bangladesh to play two Tests, three ODIs and one T20 International against the Bengal Tigers. The Black Caps will travel to Chittagong on Wednesday after staying the night at Sonargaon Hotel in the city. The remaining members of the team including Captain Brendon McCullum, Neil Wagner and Hamish Rutherford will join their teammates in Chittagong after their Champions League T20 engagements.
The New Zealand team will start their campaign in Bangladesh taking on the home side in the first Test match on Oct 9-13 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the port city after playing a three-day warm-up match on Oct 4-6 at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.
The visitors will play the 2nd and last Test on Oct 21-25 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
New Zealand will play the first two ODI matches against Bangladesh on Oct 29 and 31 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur while the 3rd and last ODI will be held on November 3 at Fatullah Stadium.
The lone T20 match between the two teams will be held on November 6 at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium.
