Fitra has been fixed at Tk 100 per head this year all over the country.
The Islamic Foundation at its meeting yesterday fixed the amount. A press release of Islamic Foundation said the Fitra of Tk 100 has been fixed taking into consideration the price of rice.
The meeting was presided over by Maulana Mohammad Salahuddin, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Fitra is Wajib (mandatory) and should be paid to the needy for all members of the family before the prayer of Eid-ul-Fitr, the release added.
