The Bangladesh Premier League will resume today after a gap of one and a half months with the Independence Cup champions Sheikh Russell facing Brothers Union at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at 7:00pm. Russell have a good chance of taking the top position in the points table if they can beat Brothers Union as they have 26 points from 12 matches. Abahani Limited are now leading the league with 28 points from 13 matches. Sheikh Jamal have also played 12 matches and are third on 25 points.
On the other hand, after six consecutive defeats Brothers sit seventh on nine points.
In the first leg Russell beat Brothers 2-1. Apart from the Brothers game Russell will have to play against Arambagh, Feni Soccer Club and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.
