The seventh edition of the Bangladesh Premier League will resume today after a three-day break in play, Bangladesh Football Federation officials said on Tuesday.
The BFF suspended the league after two rounds due to the ongoing political turmoil, which had left them unable to arrange proper security for players and officials.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police finally assured the BFF that police personnel could be provided for stadium security from Wednesday, prompting officials to allow the league to resume.
Last season’s third-place finishers Abahani Limited will began their campaign against Brothers Union at 5:00pm today at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
