A man was electrocuted while three others were killed in road accidents in the city Friday.
At Boardghata, a van driver was electrocuted.
The deceased, Iqbal Hossin, 40, was from Joyka at Karimganj in Kishoreganj.
The victim’s brother, Kabir Hossain, said his brother came in contact with a defective wire when fixing a switch board an about 2:30pm.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead at about 8:30pm.
Iqbal resided at Nutunbazar of Boardghata.
At Paltan, a man died and another was injured in a road accident.
The deceased, Badsha Mian, 30, a truck helper, was from Khejurtala at Bakerganj in Barisal while the injured, Badiuzzaman Bahu, 40, a truck driver, was from Kadamtali at Shalitha in Faridpur.
Police said two trucks collided head-on at the Paltan Intersection at about 2:00am, leaving the assistant of one of the trucks dead on the spot and the driver injured.
The injured was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
On information, Paltan police subinspector Alauddin recovered the body and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College morgue.
At Mirpur, a retired air force personal died after a bus ran over him.
The deceased, Fayzul Haque, 60, was from Bera in Pabna.
The accident took place when Fayzul was crossing the road West Kazipara. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital wher on-duty doctor declared him dead.
On information, Mirpur police subinspector recovered the body and sent it to morgue.
Fayzul lived at the house 420/A West Kazipara, Mirpur.
At Arambag, an unidentified man was crushed under a vehicle on the eastern side of Notre Dame College early Friday.
On informational Motijeel police subinspector Anwar Hossain recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy.
Details about the deceased could not be known.
