The Bangladesh Cricket Board finally received a bank guarantee of Tk 10 crore from Game On, the event management company responsible for hosting the second edition of
the Bangladesh Premier League, said a BCB official on Saturday.
This came as a huge relief to the BCB which was struggling to set up a contact with Game On, a company that owed the governing body Tk 19 crore.
Frustrated at the lack of response from Game On, the BCB considered taking legal action against the company.
‘Game On deposited a bank guarantee of Tk 10 crore,’ said Ismail Haider Mallick, member secretary of the BPL governing council.
‘They will sit with BCB president Nazmul Hasan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium tomorrow [Sunday],’ said Mallick.
