Girls have outshone boys again in the results of the ongoing year’s Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations.
The results were announced by education minister Dipu Moni on Friday.
In the combined results, 8,44,736 girls have passed while the number of boys who passed the examinations is 7,96,404.
The pass rate of girls is 81.88 per cent while the pass rate of boys is 78.87 per cent.
In cases of securing GPA 5, 98,614 girls have got GPA 5 while 84,964 boys have got GPA 5.
In nine general boards, 7,06,375 girls have passed while the number of boys who passed the examinations is 6,16,071.
The pass rate of girls is 82.39 per cent while the pass rate of boys is 79.34 per cent.
In cases of securing GPA 5, 88,245 girls have got GPA 5 while 70,975 boys have got GPA 5.
Under madrasah board, 1,12,014 girls have passed while the number of boys who passed the examinations is 1,00,950.
The pass rate of girls is 77.02 per cent while the pass rate of boys is 72.29 per cent.
In cases of securing GPA 5, 3,188 girls have got GPA 5 while 3,188 boys have got GPA 5 which is higher than girls.
In the technical board results, 79,383 boys have passed while the number of girls who passed the examinations is 36,347.
However, the pass rate of girls is 91.44 per cent while the pass rate of boys is 84.78 per cent.
In cases of securing GPA 5, 10,801 boys have got GPA 5 while 7,344 girls have got GPA 5.
In the combined results in 2022, a total of 8,73,573 girls passed in the exams while the number of boys passed the examinations was 8,70,046.
The pass rate of girls was 87.71 per cent while the pass rate of boys was 87.16 per cent in 2022.
In cases of securing GPA 5 in 2022, a total of 1,48,446 girls got GPA 5 while 1,21,156 boys got GPA 5.
