Ganer Dali is doing the marketing of the recently released album Gitabitan Archive 2 in Bangladesh, which has been produced by Kolkata-based popular production house Sa Re Ga Ma.
The first edition of the Gitabitan Archive series was released in 2006 under the same banner.
The Gitabitan Archive 2 has been researched and compiled by Dr Purnandu Bikash Sarkar from Kolkata.
‘This is especially aimed at those who do not have easy access to Bengali works in general and Rabindra Sangeet (the collection of Tagore’s songs) in particular’, writes Dr Purnandu Bikash Sarkar in the introduction to the album.
Fuelled by his passion for Tagore’s music, Dr Sarkar has been collecting material and information for this DVD since 2003.
