Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday assured Chittagong business leaders of allocating Tk 20 crore to resolve the waterlogging problem of Moheskhal in Agrabad area.
She assured the leaders of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) of the allocation after MA Latif, CCCI’s former president and also MP, demanded funds to build a sluice gate across the canal to solve the problem of waterlogging in Agrabad area, said a CCCI press release.
The newly elected directors of CCCI met the prime minister at her office in the capital yesterday and requested her to inaugurate the first world trade centre in the country. Sheikh Hasina assured them of inaugurating it in October, added the release.
