The graduation ceremony of the students of the O’ Level 2009-2010 batch of Scholastica School was held on Wednesday, reports The Independent.
Scholastica honoured its graduates and achievers on the Graduations and Academic Award Giving Ceremony held on June 26, 28, 29 and 30 at the STM Hall from 4 pm to 6:30 pm.
The founder chairperson, Mrs. Yasmeen Murshed, Deputy Chairperson, Ms. Wasima Parveen and Deputy Managing Director, Ms. Madiha Murshed of Scholastica Pvt Limited were all present on those days to congratulate and give their words of encouragement to the students. A total of 636 students received certificates for their outstanding achievements.
“This is one of the most important events during our scholastic year and students that have performed exceptionally well in academics are given certificates in reward of their performance. Through our school activities we make the students realise their potential in different fields,” said the principal of the school, Brigd. Gen. (Retd.) Kaiser Ahmed.
The students and teachers put up a cultural programme titled “Glorious Reflections of the Year 2009-2010” on the outstanding achievements and overwhelming events of the past year.
Among the events that they covered in the programme were- the FIFA World Cup 2010, Victory Day (16th December 2009) and the annual Science Fair of the school that was held on January 30, 2010.
Among the other activities of Scholastica School are their Community Service Club, Scout Club, the annual drama and a rally that was held during the Bangla New Year.
After the activities of the school had been discussed, the certificate handing over ceremony began. Students were awarded certificates in various fields such as most improved student, outstanding students, and those who had got the highest marks in various subjects.
“The event has gone off successfully and we wish the students all the best for their future,” said senior vice principal, academic administration, Khadija Afzal.
