Four-time domestic football league champions Abahani Limited have appointed Australian Nathan Hall as coach for the upcoming season, confirmed top officials of the Dhanmondi-based club on Thursday.
Abahani officials interviewed the 28-year old Hall last month but only confirmed his appointment on Thursday. Hall will arrive in Dhaka on October 20 and immediately take charge of the club’s pre-season preparation camp.
Hall, a former footballer, started his coaching career at a young age with a minor role for state league club Sutherland Sharks FC.
After failing to land a position as head coach for a club in Australia, he signed up as an assistant coach for Thai Premier League side Thai Port under head coach Sasom Pobprasert.
