Local furniture manufacturing company HATIL recently signed a global supply agreement with Paul Robert Inc USA to manufacture and export Paul Robert’s customised designed sofa, chair and other household furniture, said a news release issued by Hatil.
Hatil will manufacture the furniture for Paul Robert’s customers in Europe, Africa and Middle East.
Hatil chairman and managing director Selim H Rahman and Paul Robert Inc vice-president Daniel York Dickinson signed the agreement at a programme held at the Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in Dhaka.
Paul Robert Inc is a wholesaler of furniture in USA, Europe and Middle East.
Commerce minister GM Quader in his courtesy message said, ‘Our country needs to diversify its export market and furniture is one of such sector.’ ‘The government is committed to extend all possible supports to explore furniture sector into the global market.’
Hatil has recently explored into the global market by opening its showroom in Sydney, Australia and shipped a consignment to Thailand, the release also said.
