‘Straightforward’ and ‘jovial’ are the best two words to describe actor Adnan Faruque Hillol, who is widely known as Hillol in the country’s film industry.
In a recent conversation with daily sun Hillol talked about himself, his upcoming projects and future plans.
Hillol, a familiar face to TV viewers, said, “Confidence and courage are key to my success.”
After winning the hearts of TV viewers with his versatile acting, Hillol is now looking at the silver screen. Presently, he is acting in his movie Hello Amit in which he is playing the title character.
About his debut film, Hillol said, “It’s a dream-come-true project for me. I feel great as I’m playing the title role of Hellow Amit.”
“At the beginning of my career, I often got offers to act in film. But I was somewhat choosy. That’s why it has taken a long time to make my debut on the big screen,” he added.
“Hellow Amit is a kind of movie blended with commercial ingredients and art values,” Hillol commented.
Directed by Shankha Dasgupta, Hello Amit is a movie that narrates the story of a filmmaker who struggles hard to materialise his dreams. The shooting and dubbing of the film have already been done.
“The film is likely to release at the end of this year. In this film, actress Nowsheen is my co-star,” he said.
Asked about his filmy career, Hillol said, “If the script, role and filmmaker are of my type, I would work more on films. But, I’ll never leave the small screen.”
Apart from Hello Amit, Hillol is also busy working on some TV serials and single episode plays.
“I’m now shooting for Khonikaloya, a daily soap, which has been scripted by Azad Abul Kalam and directed by Akram Khan. The shooting of Chayanika Chowdhury’s Akasher Nichey Manush, Rupar Shesh Kotha and Priyo is also going on in full swing,” said the young film star.
“I’m also acting in Shahiduzzaman Selim’s Samantha and Terminal, Ashraf Mithu’s Shobuj Dwiper Rupkatha and Masud Sejan’s Anukaran, among others,” he said about his current projects.”
Asked about his entrance into the glamour world, Hillol took a trip down the memory lane and recalled, “I was a simple person. Just out of curiosity, in 1995, I got involved with Desh Natak, a famous theatre troupe of the country. Since then, my aim in life has been changed a lot.”
“In 1999, I got an offer to act in Biprotip, a serial produced for Ekushey TV. But, the stepping stone to my career was Sporsher Baire. Directed jointly by Amitabh Reza and Shahiduzzaman Selim, the play was something that made me regular in acting,” he said.
Since then Hillol has been working with honour and has created a suitable place for him in the country’s film industry.
