Hotels International Limited and Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts signed two agreements on Tuesday for hotel management and to refresh the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel.
Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel organised the signing ceremony at the hotel.
Hotels International Limited and Pan Pacific Hotels Group signed the hotel management agreement for 10 years (from August1, 2012 to July 31 2022).
They also signed a technical service agreement to ‘refresh and upgrade’ Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel.
Addressing the ceremony, civil aviation and tourism minister Faruk Khan said the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel was not only a five-star hotel but also a landmark in the tourism sector reflecting the beautiful images of Bangladesh and its caring and hospitable people to the outside world.
He said, ‘If we want to develop tourism sector, we should have more hotels and resorts.’
Civil aviation and tourism secretary Md Atharul Islam, Hotels International Limited managing director ASM Mustafa Kamal Khan, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts vice-president finance R Hariharan and Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka general manger EJ Mac Ewan III were also present at the signing ceremony.
